If you’ve come here, you clearly have an itch for money and you’re ready to use social media to scratch that itch. People are using Twitter every day to make money, and I’m about to show exactly how they do so.
The great part about Twitter is that you have the ability to reach people globally, providing that they also use Twitter. This is by far the best aspect of Twitter that many people don’t use to their advantage.
Step 1: Set up an account
Create yourself an account that pertains to your business. Try to keep your description as specific as possible so that you don’t lose peoples’ attention with clutter. For example, don’t have an account saying that you specialize in burger flipping, cosmetics, flying planes, and graphic art… it’s distracting to list many specialties and not very believable.
Step 2: Gain credibility
Post some relevant tweets pertaining to your niche so that people see that your business has validity and that you’re more than just a spammer. For tips on gaining credibility, click here.
Step 3: Connect with potential leads
Start with following the people that with whom you want to start selling to. Engage with them by tagging them in your messages

Step 4: Develop this connection
Once you’ve got their attention, follow up with them via email or a direct message. Tell them that you want to talk about your business and how it may pertain to them. This warms them up to you and makes the next interaction feel like less of a cold call. Don’t oversell them; rather, use this time as more of an introduction.
Step 5: Take the connection offline
This is an extremely important step. Ask to meet with the person that you’re dealing with. People are naturally more responsive face-to-face rather than behind a computer screen. If you can’t meet in person, then a Skype meeting will work fine. You must establish a real human connection to bring some level of emotion to the table. This allows for a much stronger connection.
Step 6: Sell
What are you waiting for? This is your opportunity to seize and make money. Sell away!
